The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Academy Award-nominated director Peter Hedges (About A Boy) and Walt Disney Pictures brings us the quirky family movie The Odd Life Of Timothy Green.
Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton) are a happily married couple who can't wait to start a family. Sadly, they can only dream about what their child might be like.... but one stormy night, a miracle happens, and a young boy named Timothy (CJ Adams) appears on their doorstep. Cindy and Jim, along with their small town of Stanleyville, learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts - as Timothy’s presence begins to have a profound effect on everyone he meets.
As we should expect from Disney, The Odd Life is a sweet film, that takes sensitive look at starting a family and parenting, with some magic sprinkled on top! Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton work well together as a couple, and seem to be having fun on screen as well as hitting the emotional notes of the film, but the star of this movie is young CJ Adams, who delivers a mature, witty and beautifully touching performance as Timothy. He is just adorable!
Equally as entertaining for adults and children, this whimsical story is fit for the whole family -not an instant classic, but I would say that it is worth taking your kids to over Easter.
